Hi, I am Maria.
If I had to describe myself in one short phrase, it would be “a romantic analytical thinker”.
I am the main person behind Make Happy Memories, but I am not alone, I have a very talented team of people that help me with the delivery and a dedicated IT powerhouse that enables me to make use of the most cutting-edge technologies across the entire life cycle of our projects. This technical expertise is actually one of the things that sets us apart from the competition; it helps us communicate effectively, work efficiently, make sure that nothing slips and it creates this feeling like if our customers are sitting next to us always, as part of the execution team. We also have some unique things in the works, an inhouse cross-platform application we are building that will take the experience to another level (coming soon).
My motivation for getting into planning events, comes from my very early days, since when I was a little child. I remember myself always looking for an excuse for celebrating, coming together with friends and throwing little parties! Be it Birthdays, Name-days, Christmas, celebrating a good exam-result, a new hair-style or a full moon! The why of the occasion is not what really matters, the important thing is to love, to live passionate every single moment, to share with family and friends and to make vivid and happy memories.
Studying and working as a civil engineer for years, I have grown the skills necessary to visualize, articulate, conceptualize and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems by making optimal decisions given the available information. I have learned that every problem has a solution just like how every lock is made with a key;
What really drives me though is not only finding the best practical solution, but to find the one that is most beautiful! It is the little details that make all the difference, and the aesthetic result is what makes me be really proud of my work. I use the science as the solid base and then I let my creativity work to find the simple steps that will lead me to my goals and I choose the right team of trustful colleagues to help me get there!
Being a wife and a mother of two has taught me to put love and care in everything I do!
After the encouraging of my friends and family, I decided to combine pleasure with work and become a destination event designer and coordinator!
But to simply throw a good party is not what I aspire to… I want our guests to really have fun, feel unique and look forward to my next event.
Ι like to think about what I’m trying to do as a form of creative art … the art of Making Happy Memories.
one of my favorite romantic quotes:
Love doesn’t make the world go ’round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile. Franklin P. Jones
